A group of Year 10 students and their parents from both Hayesfield Girls’ School and Beechen Cliff School attended a presentation evening at Rotork on Thursday 10th June to introduce the new Bath Education Trust Award. This exciting new venture has been planned by the two schools together with Rotork and Bath University as part of the Bath Education Trust activities.
Students will undertake a number of challenges designed to develop their skills and increase their understanding of the world of work. Peter France, CEO of Rotork plc explained to the students that in the present climate students applying for work or university will need something to make them stand out from the crowd and the BET Award is designed to do just that.
It is a fantastic opportunity for young people to be able to develop enterprise and confidence so that ultimately, whatever career they choose, they have a desire to be the best that they can be.
